IPL Limelight Photo Rejuvenation
Cutera’s IPL Limelight aids in the improvement of pigmented spots, freckles, sun damage, skin redness, rosacea, tiny veins and broken capillaries.
The Limelight is a medical grade, non-invasive light-based treatment for skin rejuvenation. The procedure offers the advantage of improving skin tone and surface imperfections associated with ageing and photo-damage.
The Limelight is ideal for any part of the face, neck and décolletage with skin redness, tiny veins or brown spots. Light brown spots, which were previously difficult to treat, respond very well to treatment.
IS THIS TREATMENT FOR YOU
A skin analysis consultation at least 48 hours prior to your first treatment is essential to:
- Assess that the photo rejuvenation is the correct treatment for you
- Answer any questions you may have regarding the treatment
- Perform a test patch
- Take clinical photographs of the treatment area to monitor your results
- Give pre and post treatment instructions
WHAT IS INVOLVED WITH THIS PROCEDURE
The procedure is performed by highly trained Nurse or Dermal Therapist. Treatment time depends on the area of the body being treated. However, most treatments should take less than one hour.
When the pulse of light is delivered, patients will experience a mild pinching or stinging sensation. Gel is recommended to cool the skin before vascular treatments. Anaesthesia or pain medicine is typically not required.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED
One to three treatments are usually sufficient to see results. Additional treatments may be recommended, especially for excessively sun- damaged skin.
HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER THE TREATMENT
Your skin will feel mildly sunburnt to hot, but this sensation will reduce after 30 minutes to an hour.
Immediately following treatment, brown spots will start to darken and your skin may appear slightly red. The treated area may be mildly swollen. This typically lasts a few hours and possibly a day or longer.
Make-up can be applied to cover the redness.
Sunscreen is mandatory pre and post procedure.
We highly recommend a topical pigmentation inhibitor serum post treatment to maintain results.
