Cosmelan is a professional grade skin depigmentation treatment which has an intensive corrective effect on existing skin hyperpigmentations (including melasma, freckles, and sun spots) as well as a regulating effect on the appearance of new hyperpigmentation in the long-term, through controlling the overproduction of melanin.
The initial in-clinic phase of the treatment involves a hydrating lactic peel to prepare the skin, which is followed two weeks later with the application of a powerful Cosmelan mask which is then removed at home between 8-12 hours later (dependant on skin type). After the removal of the Cosmelan mask, a deep hydration skin treatment is performed in-clinic a further three days later, completing the clinical phase of the treatment.
